Stomach cancer
Stomach cancer is called also gastric cancer, it appears when cancer cell start growing into normal stomach wall.
Risk factors:
- pylori infection
- gastritis, ulcers
- long-lasting anemia
- stomach polyps
- less possible factors – smoking, a diet high in smoked, pickled, or salty foods, epstein-Barr virus infection, working in coal, metal, timber, or rubber industries, exposure to asbestos
The most common symptoms in patients with stomach cancer are:
- Weakness and fatigue
- Anorexia, disgust of food, meat, fish and other food
- Weight Loss
- Pain in the upper abdomen
- Vomiting food/blood
Diagnostic procedures:
- Blood tests
- Endoscopic examination with biopsy
- X-ray examination with barium
- CT
Treatment:

Surgery
- Partial or subtotal gastrectomy
- The total gastrectomy
