The department is placed on the second floor and it owns 12 new, modern beds. In the Department of one-day surgery can be performed all diagnostic minimally invasive and bloodless methods for detection of benign and malignant diseases of gastro-intestinal tract and biliary hepatic system:
- Video gastroscopy- HD quality (1080p)
- Video colonoscopy- HD quality (1080p)
- Video endoscopic ultrasound- HD quality (1080p)
- Endorectal ultrasound
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP)
- Exploratory laparoscopy
- pH-metry of the stomach
- Sphincter tonometry of the anal muscles
- NBI endoscopy
After establishment of the correct diagnosis and staging the newly found diseases, they could be treated in the Department of one-day and endoscopic surgery via following minimally invasive and bloodless methods:
- Laparoscopic surgery of the gastro-intestinal tract
- Laparoscopic resection of the colon and rectum
- Laparoscopic surgery of the gallbladder
- Stenting of the biliary tract
- Stenting of the esophagus
